Sabre Scuba was established in April 1998 and is based in Westbury, Wiltshire near Bath. We run PADI sanctioned scuba diver courses up to Assistant Instructor level, in the Bath and Wiltshire areas in the UK, and the Red Sea resort of Hurghada in Egypt. Entry level courses are primarily held at our partner companies 5* facilities nr Bath. Instructor courses are also arranged and staffed by Sabre Scuba Master and Staff Instructors. We currently have five Instructors, two Assistant Instructors and five Divemasters working as a team at Sabre. Both male and female staff are always available to assist with any questions or queries you may have.
Scuba diving with disabilites
Sabre Scuba can also offer the underwater experience to people with disabilites. We have a qualified instructor who can ensure that you get the best possible care and attention. we also have IAHD (International Association of Handicapped divers) instructors on staff and therefore can offer disabled people the opportunity to discover the beauty of diving.
Other courses
28 specialty courses are also available including nitrox / enriched air, deep, wreck, digital photography , recompression chamber awareness and DPV. We also offer various 'DAN' courses in Oxygen admin and marine life injuries. We also hold regular "Try a Dive" sessions where you can experience using SCUBA equipment in the comfort and safety of a swimming pool. All of the courses take place at pools in the Bath and Wltshire areas. If you have access to your own pool, the sessions can be held there. A maximum of only four students / clients per instructor / divemaster are booked onto each course, this allows for a more personal, fun and comprehensive approach to the training.
For the Open Water Training Dives we go to various locations on the South and South West coast, or recognised inland dive sites in the Wiltshire and Somerset areas. Personal or individual tuition is our speciality, staff are able to travel anywhere in the world to assist and train. We also have our own accommodation and facilities available in the beautiful Red Sea resort of Hurghada. In addition to running courses we also organise holidays, weekends and days away including 'Adventure Days'. We also hire equipment at reduced rates for any divers trained by ourselves
N.B : New for 2010
Sabre Scuba will only be offering the Open water and Scuba diver courses as a 'Personal' tuition option for individuals, couples and small groups of four persons. Included in the entry level course price is your own mask, snorkel and fins. Please look at the relevant course information for further details.
