PADI OPEN WATER OVERSEAS COURSE

N.B: New for 2010. Sabre Scuba will only be offering the Open water and Scuba diver courses as a 'Personal' tuition option at our partners 5* facilities nr BATH. This course is aimed at individuals, couples and small groups of four persons. Luxury B& B accommodation is available on sight for those not wishing to travel. Included in the entry level course price are your own mask, snorkel and fins.

This course is identical to the PADI open water diver course with the exception that all open water training dives can be completed at an overseas or holiday destination.

This course is ideal for anyone who wishes to dive in waters that may be a little warmer than those in the U.K, ie the Red sea or Caribbean, or someone who would like to learn to dive whilst on holiday, but is not willing to give up a considerable amount of precious holiday time to do so.

HOW DOES IT WORK:
All required academic and pool training takes place at home. The student is then issued with an “Open water diver course referral record or card”. This will show all the details of the training that has been completed. The student then has a period of 12 months in which to complete their training, namely the open water training dives.

To do this, all that is required, is for the student to go along to a PADI sanctioned dive centre anywhere in the world with their referral record, and receive the final part of their training from a qualified PADI instructor. On completion of all training, a PADI open water diver certification card will be issued. This will in turn allow the recipient to scuba dive anywhere in the world up to a maximum depth of 18 metres.

Sabre Scuba has a full listing of all recognised PADI dive centres throughout the world, and can if requested, advise and arrange for the remaining training dives to be completed for all referred students.

All pool and theory sessions will generally take place at our partners 5* facilities nr Bath. We also offer this course in the Salisbury area of Wiltshire. If you have access to your own pool, the course can be taken there.

THE COST:
The open water diver referral course costs only £375.00 and includes all the benefits of the Open water diver course. (If only the theory part of the course with materials is required, the cost is only £99) A discount of 10 % applies to bookings of three or more persons

A deposit of £175.00 secures your place on the course and your PADI crew pack.
A refundable deposit of £20 is applicable, to allow us to issue you with a required training DVD ( Unless issued with the 'Padi Multimedia crew pack' ).

£100.00 is then payable when you attend your first confined water session. The remaining £100.00 is payable when you start your last confined water training session (# 5).

N.B: The price outlined above does not include the fee for the open water training dives. The cost of these dives will be dependent on the dive centre and instructor who completes them.

WHAT NOW … WHEN CAN YOU START?

 

* All deposits are non-refundable, unless unable to complete course due to medical reasons verified by a doctor. All issued course materials would also have to be returned in an 'as new' condition. In addition to the refund policy, a 'learning agreement' will also need to be completed prior to the start of any course.
